Studio lab is the name of our specific skills based training sessions where you will learn fundamental design skills in layout, typography, software, animation, UX/UI that enable you to gain hands on practical skills fast. Enabling you to complete the industry based briefs you’ll be set as part of the course, and equipping you with vocational design skills, quickly right from the start.

We have a fantastic course structure but it’s your journey and so there is lots of flexibility within our briefs to produce the end result you want.

Learn to work with technology and not against it. There is a fear in the world that AI is going to take over. Replace us. Nah.. We believe like any advance in technology, the trick is to learn to control it and work with it. In this industry AI still needs humans. Because the world and technology are changing at rapid pace it is important to learn how to solve digital design problems at their core. Anyone can watch a video tutorial and produce a fancy looking outcome, but it’s likely that you’re doing one small part of a much larger process, learning how to follow someone else, not think like them, to have solved it in the first place. It’s that design process that you’ll learn on our course.
Your final portfolio will show solid Design Thinking backed by understanding of the problem, with strategic outcomes that yes, look awesome too.

We have designed our course to be the best of both worlds. University is great but it’s 3 years or more, and then there are those fast track specialised intensive short courses, that’s maybe just a bit too quick and too intense. Our HND is that sweet spot between the two. Over 2 years you’ll spend just 2 days a week at college for just 30 weeks of the year, and those days are only 6 hours long. Leaving you room for life.

In just 2 years you’ll have an internationally recognised qualification with the skills required for employment in multiple digital design sectors.
Because our HND is recognised as equivalent as the first 2 years of a Bachelor of arts, if you want to stay on in education do a BA you can by doing just *one more year.
